This deck and screened porch combination structure in Glen Ridge in Winston Salem is one of three projects we completed for neighbors.

Have you ever noticed that a good thing is contagious? For example, if you decide to beautify your yard by adding a few ornamental trees and flowers it seems like the neighbors are doing the same thing. It is true that the positive effects of home improvement are more contagious than the common cold. This type of contagion is a good thing because when a neighbor makes improvements to their home and landscape it affects the entire neighborhood. The positive effects of beautifying your outdoor space can be felt like an aftershock. Much is the case when we built an outdoor living structure for a homeowner in the Glen Ridge neighborhood right here in the Piedmont Triad area.

Adding an outdoor structure to your home and landscape not only increases your home’s value, it also increases the value of the homes around you. This is achieved because any quality improvement or addition you make will increase your return on investment if you ever decide to sell your home. In the world of real estate, part of your home’s selling price is based upon comparable home values of homes that have sold within your immediate location. If the value of your neighbor’s home increases this impacts your home directly if you decide to sell your home. This is clear when you ride through upscale neighborhoods and notice how the beauty of each home spills into the homes next door. In most cases doing something positive will impact you as well as those around you. Home improvement and improvements within the landscape create a domino effect that everyone.

Screen porch builder Glen Ridge community Piedmont Triad NC

The screened porch is so inviting, and one of the many reasons our outdoor living areas have become a hot commodity in this neighborhood.

The prologue to this story begins when the first homeowner we met with decided to let Archadeck of the Piedmont Triad build their outdoor structure. This was the first project from one of three neighbors within the Glen Ridge neighborhood in Winston Salem that decided to also have us build their outdoor structures as well. These three neighbors were all close friends whose children played together on a regular basis. The truth is, once the other two neighbors saw the new outdoor space we created for their friends, they were impressed enough to engage Archadeck to build an outdoor living space for them.

When someone sees something that makes a lasting impression on them and the effects are positive, the desire to have one for themselves can spread like wildfire. It is one thing when you are passing along a yummy recipe to a friend, or introducing a find from the newest fashion trend. It is quite another when it is an outdoor living environment. In order to make an investment on this level you have to really be impressed with what you see.

The difference between our structures and those of other outdoor living companies is a difference you can see and feel. Expert design, artisan workmanship, quality materials and attention to every detail goes into every outdoor space we create. People notice the difference in quality when they step onto one of our decks, or step into one of our screened porches. The difference is in the details that are never overlooked giving you a cohesive outdoor design that compliments your home, your landscape and most of all, your lifestyle.John Mallard, owner of Archadeck of the Piedmont Triad
