The homeowner’s existing hot tub was located on a concrete slab in the back yard. A wide flagstone path  was the only means of accessing the hot tub from the house.  The natural setting  between some trees was pleasing but on dark nights it was impossible to see the path. There also was a lack of privacy from the neighbors and a disconnected feel from the rest of the outdoor living space. Great potential existed to envision and create a zen like spot for these homeowners.

Flash forward to this wonderful Greensboro spa deck with two sets of stairs leading from the path and another low to grade deck.  The stairs are box steps that create a comfortable low step and have lighting added in the risers for illumination on even the blackest of nights.
